RALEIGH, NC (May 2, 2013) – Stackpole’s RC series is an axial leaded carbon composition technology available in 1/4W, 1/2W, and 1W power ratings. The RC’s dense carbon slug element handles high-energy surges much better than metal film based surge resistors. In addition, its design has no spiral or coil which means the RC has inductance as much as 100 times lower than comparable non-inductive wirewound resistors.
The RC is now available in values from to 1 ohm to 22 megohm in tolerances of 5% and 10%. Pricing varies with size, resistance value, and tolerance, and ranges from $0.080 to $0.82 each for full package quantities. Contact Stackpole or one of our franchised distributors for volume pricing. Current lead-times are 15 weeks. Many popular sizes and values for the RC are in stock.
