Stackpole’s RAVS Anti-Sulfur Chip Resistor Arrays
RALEIGH, NC (Nov. 14, 2012) – The new RAVS series from Stackpole offers stable reliable performance in a wide variety of environments including those with high amounts of sulfur. Stackpole’s proprietary process and materials with reduced silver yield a chip resistor array with excellent long-term reliability under conditions where standard chip resistors fail.
The RAVS series shows typical resistance shifts less than 0.1% after 240 hours at 40ºC, 95% R.H., 5 volt bias, and H2S concentration of 3ppm or greater. Applications for anti-sulfur chip arrays include automotive electronics, industrial and commercial equipment controls, marine electronics and anywhere gaskets, hoses, grommets, or oils and lubricants may be found.
The RAVS is available in 8 pin, 4 resistor circuits in 1, 1.6, and 3.1 mm widths. Resistance values range from 10 ohms up to 1M in 200 ppm TCR and tolerances as low as 1%. Pricing for the RAVS varies with size, resistance value, and tolerance, and ranges from $0.012 to $0.055 each in full reel quantities.
